Apologies for the long delay in sending anything out here—the writers have been busy with PhDs, pro-life activism, and a wide range of other writing! For the moment, here are a few semi-recent literary pieces:
“On the road with Laura Ingalls Wilder”: a road trip to the Little House sites with children in tow.
“The Swiss Family Robinson: A Return to the Classics”: A reflection on my favorite childhood novel.
“Ties that Bind: Wendell Berry, the Bible, and Port William”: On the Bible and the novels of Wendell Berry.
“The Forgotten Christmas Story by Charles Dickens”: On Dickens’ forgotten book The Life of Our Lord.
“When Middle Earth Came to Vienna”: On the Winged Hussars and the inspiration for Tolkien’s famous cavalry charge.
Awesome write up on Laura Ingalls Wilder. I loved those books growing up and would have lived taking the tour. I also ver much appreciate the song Church in the Wildwood and can hear my dad singing it to me as a child. Thank you for the great memories your writing invokes.
